Custom dashboards enable you to combine multiple reports into a single, comprehensive view, providing instant insights into your business metrics.

This guide introduces the dashboard feature, highlighting its benefits and offering guidance to help you build a set of charts tailored to your needs.

Creating a new Dashboard

Creating dashboards tailored to specific use cases helps streamline your analysis and decision-making. You have the flexibility to create multiple dashboards (according to your billing plan limitations) to address distinct business needs such as strategic overviews, sales representative performance, or sales process improvement.

To create a new dashboard:

1. Log in to your Livespace instance and navigate to the Statistics section from the top main menu.

2. Write name of report and choose to add text block or create a report (you can use both in one dashboard).

Organizing Charts for Clear Insights

Customize your dashboard layout for optimal clarity and efficiency:

  • Drag and drop: Move widgets around to position them logically.

  • Resize widgets: Highlight important charts or data clearly.

  • Arrange widgets strategically: Place the most critical reports at the top, secondary insights below.

  • Copy-paste charts: Quickly replicate charts across dashboards. To do this, click the three-dot button on the widget, select either Copy or Cut, then navigate to another dashboard and click Paste copied widget.

  • Duplicate dashboards and charts: Easily duplicate entire dashboards or individual charts to save time and maintain consistency in your analysis. Use the duplication feature found under the three-dot button next to each dashboard or widget.

These tools help you efficiently manage and reuse dashboard elements, saving you valuable time and effort. Utilizing duplication and copy-paste functionalities ensures consistency and significantly speeds up dashboard creation and maintenance.

Add Text Description and Group charts into sections

To enhance understanding:

  • Add Text widgets for context or instructions, clearly describing what each section or widget represents.

  • Group related charts into clearly labeled sections for streamlined analysis (e.g., "Sales Performance", "Regional Breakdown", "Team Activity").

Clear grouping and descriptions help all users quickly interpret and utilize the dashboard effectively.

Global Filters for a Dashboard

Let's delve deeper into the functionality and implications of global filters within a dashboard environment.

  • When applied, global filters act as a unifying force across your dashboard. They essentially cast a net over all the reports and funnels contained within, filtering the data based on the criteria you've specified. This is particularly advantageous when you're seeking to analyze trends or patterns that span multiple widgets. For instance, if you set a global date range, every report and funnel on the dashboard will instantly adjust to display data solely within that timeframe, offering a synchronized and holistic view.

  • It's crucial to note that global filters' power does not extend to charts or widgets where filters have been "hardcoded" during their creation. This means that if you specifically selected certain data points or team members to be included in a particular chart, the global filter will not override those pre-set parameters. This allows for granular control and ensures that specific analyses remain unaffected by broader filter changes.

Global filters simplify your dashboard interactions, making it easier to analyze data consistently and accurately across multiple reports.

Exporting Charts

Each chart in your dashboard can be exported for external use or presentations:

  • Export your charts directly in PNG for visual presentations.

  • Export chart data in CSV format for further data manipulation or detailed analysis in external tools like spreadsheets.

This functionality allows you to easily share insights and perform further detailed analysis externally.

Drill down

The Drill Down feature enables deeper data exploration directly from your charts:

  • Click any data point within a chart to open a detailed view.

  • Examine underlying data and individual records represented by that point.

Drill-down functionality helps you quickly investigate specific areas of interest, providing more context and detailed insights.

Refreshing Data

Data displayed on dashboards is cached by default for 10 hours to ensure quick loading. However, you can manually refresh data anytime:

  • Click the Refresh button at the top of the dashboard to update all charts.

  • Individually refresh specific charts by clicking the refresh icon on the respective chart.

Manual refreshing ensures you always work with the most recent data whenever needed.

Good to know

  • Each dashboard can include up to 10 charts.

  • Amount of dashboards depends on package, you can check it on our pricing.
