How to add tips to the sales process

Livespace prompts (tool tips) allow you to add helpful information inside your sales processes.

This feature allows you to upload descriptions of the steps and activities of the selected process. Thanks to which:

  • users have access to the necessary instructions and knowledge needed to successfully execute activities in the process

  • managers can automate the onboarding process for new users, ensure that instructions are given to everyone in a standardized way, and make sure that users consistently stick to the established process

  • the team has a sense of continuous support and managers can ensure quality in the process, regardless of the location of the users and when working remotely

What the tips are for

As we mentioned above, tips in Livespace is a feature for adding descriptions to sales steps and activities.

Visibility of tips

This feature is available to users in all packages. It is also available to users testing Livespace as part of a free 14-day trial.

  • New users:

    We want our users to be able to close sales with a positive result as quickly and efficiently as possible. That's why all new users, account registrants as well as invited users, will get a Livespace knowledge pill. They will see our proven prompts, which are based on years of our sales experience, as part of our default sales process.

  • Existing users:

    Existing users with Administrator privileges have the ability to add descriptions in the process configurator. By default, the fields for leads will be empty and users must fill them with their own content to make them appear to users.

    Users with standard privileges will see the hints in their sales opportunities only if the Administrator adds content to the configurator. If these fields are blank, the icon indicating the hint by the stages and steps in the deal is hidden.


How to add a tip

Tips can be added from within the Sales Deal Configurator:

1. After logging in, open Account Settings, which is located under the cogwheel icon in the upper right corner.

2. In the account settings menu, go to Deals > Processes.

3. Select the process to which you want to add tips.

4. You can add tips to both steps and individual activities using the Add tool tip button.

Once clicked, a box will expand where you can add content to the tip.

5. To add a tool tip to an individual sales process action, select Add tool tip.

Continue in this way until you have completed all the necessary tips.

When you finish editing all tips, save the descriptions you entered from the sales process configurator, just as you would normally edit the process.


Available tip formats

You can add tip content in a variety of formats:

  • as a text

  • attachments as PDF or DOC

  • video

  • links

  • graphics

This field allows you to format the content in the same way as, for example, in email templates or tasks in Livespace. Additionally, content can be visually customized by:

  • Bold

  • Italics

  • Underline

You can also bullet and list numerically. Moreover, it is also possible to add an emoticon:

  • 🎯

  • 😊

  • etc.

The important thing is that the first two sentences will be visible as a preview of the clue in the chance view.

Worth knowing

There is no limit to the number of characters in the text field.

Links can also be added to the tip. These can refer, for example, to various documents on Google Docs, company websites, or cloud folders with files. You can also use links to upload videos.

To insert a link, select the Link symbol in the description field.

A pop-up will appear where you can:

  • add text to display

  • add a link

  • select whether to open in a new window or not

Finally, remember to click on Insert Link. If you don't give your own name, the link will show up as a URL.


How to upload tips in video form

You can easily add a video from YouTube or Vimeo. To do this:

  • Select the link to the recording you are interested in.

  • In the sales process configurator, select the Add tool tip button, then Insert video:

  • After clicking Enter, you can add more hints in the form:

  • Incorrectly added recording can be removed by using the Backspace button.

After saving the changes made in the process configurator, the hint is visible under the light bulb icon:

This way, you can continue and add video to the tip for each step and action.


Where are the Livespace Hints displayed?

From the salesman's perspective, Livespace hints are visible in the sales deal view. On the right, the salesperson can see the process with all the steps and actions. If a hint is added, a light bulb-shaped icon appears next to the stage or step name.

When you hover your cursor over the name of a step or stage, a short description will appear. To see the full description, you need to select Read All.

When pressed, a window with a hint appears.
