Zapier - How to Connect Livespace with SMSAPI and Automatically Send an SMS After Changing the Stage in a Deal

Do you want your client to be kept up-to-date on the progress of the sales process?

Using the Zapier app, you can connect Livespace with SMSAPI and automatically send SMS messages after changing selected stages.

How to Connect Livespace with SMSAPI in Zapier:



Step 1 – Trigger

Log in to your Zapier account and press Create Zap.


Choose the app that will trigger the action, also known as the Trigger App. Find Livespace on the list of apps.


In the Event field, select the option Change in Deal Stage and confirm by pressing Continue.



Connect Zapier to your Livespace account. Press Choose, then Connect a new account.


In the new window, enter the data from Livespace (you can find it in your Livespace account under Account Settings > API > Users):

  • Account name, for example: abc.livespace.io

  • API key and API secret of the selected user.


    At this point, Zapier will propose a connection test with Livespace. Find or create a Deal in the appropriate process in Livespace and change the stage to the one that should trigger the SMS sending. Then, return to Zapier and press Test trigger.


    Step 2 - Filtering

    Press the "+" button and select the Filter option.


    Configure the filters:

    • Process name (choose from the dropdown) > (Text) Exactly matches > Sales (here, enter the name of your process).

    • Substage name (choose from the dropdown) > (Text) Exactly matches > Offer Sent (here, enter the name of the action that is in the process stage, after moving to which the SMS should be sent).

    Confirm by pressing Continue.

If everything is set correctly, you will receive a confirmation.


Press Continue.

Step 3 – Action

Proceed to configure the next step – the action. Find and select the SMSAPI app.


In the Event field, choose the option Send Text Message and confirm by pressing Continue.


Log in to your SMSAPI account by pressing Sign in and accept the required permissions.


Configure the action:

  • Sender name - choose from the list the sender name from SMSAPI that should appear to the recipient.

  • Phone number - choose from the list Company Phone or Contact Phone, depending on whether you want to send the SMS to the Company or the Person associated with the Deal.

  • Message - enter the SMS message content.

  • Normalize Characters - the True option replaces special characters, including diacritical marks, with their equivalents (e.g., ą to a, ę to e, etc.).

Confirm the settings by pressing Continue.


Perform a test send using the Test action button.

Publishing the Zap

Your zap is fully configured. The last step is to publish it. To do so, press the Publish button.
