Livespace allows you to add any currency to your account for use within deals

Livespace allows you to choose the basic currency according to which the value of the deal is to be displayed (when the Products feature is not enabled), or as the value of a given Product (when the Products feature is enabled), where the sum of the Products values gives us the value of the deal.

Where do we get currency rates in Livespace from ?

Currency conversions are determined dynamically, based on information from the National Bank of Poland about the official averaged exchange rate - http://www.nbp.pl/home.aspx?f=/kursy/kursya.html



​The use of currencies in practice

Livespace allows you to use multiple currencies, but in places where data in different currencies are shown together, (e.g., summaries, statistics) the values are converted automatically, to the basic (default) currency - according to the average exchange rate of the day before the day of saving the amount / value.
Configuration of currencies is available to the Administrator in the Account Settings. In the list of settings, select Deals, and then go to the Currency tab.

After selecting all the currencies we are interested in, go to the General tab. Here you will find the Currency Settings, where you can choose from among the previously activated currencies the one that will be our basic (default) currency.

By configuring currencies, we can later freely set or change currencies directly in the Deals, in the Deal edit form.

When adding or modifying a product with a currency other than the basic currency - its value is converted to the basic currency, based on the average exchange rate of the previous day.

This means, that if the basic currency is PLN, and the added product has a price of 10 EUR - its value in PLN is calculated based on the EUR to PLN exchange rate from the previous day.

The rate and the value in the basic currency converted based on it remain unchanged until the product is modified again (e.g. change in value, number, discount, etc.). Therefore - if the products were added to the deal on different days - there may be products with different exchange rates in one offer.

In order to unify the rates of all products in the deal, you need to force the conversion of values according to the current rate (that is, from the previous day).

To do this, when making edition in the deal form, click on the currency next to the product price and select Refresh the exchange rate.

There is also an option to automatically recalculate the value of a deals - according to the current exchange rate - but only when it is won. Such an option can be selected from the Administrator's role in the Account Settings, choosing Deal, then the General tab, where you will find the right slider under Currency Settings.

Important: Only one basic currency can be set for an account. Thus, if you set PLN as the basic currency, the value of all Products - regardless of the currency in which their price is specified - will be converted to PLN.

It is currently not possible to set several basic currencies and decide to which one the value of the Products should be converted.
