Imports 2.0 is a completely revamped import solution in Livespace focused on better data control, transparency, and usability. It allows users to import contacts, companies, and deals with smart logic for managing duplicates, relationships, and data validation.
Import 2.0 allows you to import contacts and deals. It is possible to interrupt the mapping execution and return to it through the actions visible in the import list.
You can import data from a file with extension .csv, .xlsx, which is a standard Excel sheet.
In this article:
How to import data do Livespace?
You can find the new import mechanism in account settings-> Import and export. Press the Import new file button on the right side.
Drag or add a data file to import into CRM. Supported formats are .csv and .xlsx.
The mechanism will summarize the number of columns and rows, and a field to enter the name of the import to be completed will appear.
Next: Choose data types
In this step, select the data types you want to import and the strategy of addition.
You can import objects in several options: companies, persons, companies and persons, companies and deals, persons and deals, companies persons and deals.
You can choose one of two duplicate policies supported now:
- Add New – Always creates new records, even if duplicates exist.
- Add New or Fill Existing – Adds new objects or fills missing values in matched records.
Proceed to assign fields. After importing the file, the rows will be loaded from it. Match the type of rows from the file to the fields in Livespace.
What happens if a required field is missing? If a required field for a company is missing, the company and all related objects are skipped.
If a contact is missing required fields, the company may still be imported.
Errors are shown in the Data Check preview.
When mapping, use the search engine!
One row can be assigned to each imported object. Use the plus and trash icons to add or remove additional mappings.
Select the key fields by which we will search for duplicates.
Key Fields are used to identify duplicates. You must select at least one key field per object (e.g., “Company name” or “Email”) unless you're using the “Add New” policy. Some fields (e.g., unique fields like tax ID if specified in account settings) are fixed key fields and cannot be unselected.
A dark key indicates the selected field.
After completing the fields, you can check the data or start importing.
Currently, it is not possible to undo the import. Be careful and make sure the mapping and data are correct before importing the file.
If you use a data check before confirming the import, you get a full preview showing:Records that will be added, modified, or skipped

Important informations
Importing tags, groups or sources
Current version of Imports 2.0 covers importing tags, groups and sources, but only when these are mapped and exist in imported file.
Duplicates in a file
If there are duplicates in the file, then the first record is used as the primary one. The fields from the duplicate object fill the primary object.
Undo import
Currently, it is not possible to undo the import. Be careful and make sure the mapping and data are correct before importing the file.
