Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security standard and additional authentication when logging into Livespace applications. 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) requires users to prove their identity two ways before accessing their account. This ensures that only authenticated users gain access to the account and data.
From this article, you will learn:
What is 2FA?
2FA provides double verification to confirm that the person logging in, is the account owner. Accounts using 2FA will require a password and code from a dedicated application.
Why is it worth using 2FA?
CRM is a source of much valuable data. 2FA is for all users for whom security is very important and even required, whether it is a legal requirement, industry self-regulation, or a company's best practice guidelines.
2FA focuses on reducing legal and financial risks through additional data protection, which streamlines operations and security, and positively impacts business growth, especially with larger teams.
Who has access to 2FA?
The functionality is available in a browser-based and mobile app for users of current Automation or Professional plans.
How to turn on 2FA?
Each user can independently enable 2FA in their own profile settings. The 2FA setup is available from the browser version of the app, while once it is set, it will also activate from the Livespace mobile app.
To activate 2FA for your account:
Open Profile Settings menu, which is located under the cogwheel icon in the upper right corner. Go to the Security tab and click on Enable two-step authentication.
3. You will be redirected to the next view, where you need to scan the QR code using a dedicated authentication app.
You can download the authentication app to your phone from the App Store or Google Play. You can use any app from the list:
In this example, we describe how to work with Google Authenticator.
Use the app to scan the QR code. By doing so, Google Authenticator will pair with your Livespace account.
2. Meanwhile, in the Livespace web application, go to the next view by clicking on Next.
3. When the Google Authenticator app connects to your Livespace account, you will see a code to enter in the next view.

4. After entering the code, press Next.
Important: If the entered code is incorrect, a message will appear:
5. In the next step, you will see backup codes:
Save them as a PDF or print them out and store them in a safe place so you can log in with them in case you don't have access to your phone and authentication app. Finally, don't forget to click on Finish.
6. Two-step authentication for your account has been enabled!
You will notice that under the Security tab, the 'Enable two-step login' button will disappear and in its place will be the option to disable 2FA.
From now on, every time you log in to your Livespace account, you will have to enter an authentication code from the application of your choice in addition to your password.
