How to transfer data from HubSpot to Livespace?

The data transfer process is a very important element of the CRM change. In this article you will find step-by-step instructions on how to export data from HubSpot so that you can properly import them to Livespace.

In HubSpot, you can export data from the Contacts, Companies or Deals tab to an .xls or .csv file. It's up to you whether these will be all the columns proposed by HubSpot by default or the ones you will select while creating your own view. Remember to make sure each field has its place in Livespace CRM before importing so that you can map them correctly. You can create an additional field for each field.

Data export from HubSpot

  1. Go to the tab with the data you want to save.

  2. If you want to export all records, make sure you are in the All [Contacts/Companies/Deals] tab.

3. If you want to export records in an existing custom view, click All views and then select the target view, or edit the columns by going to Table actions -> Edit columns.

4. After selecting the target view, click Table actions and select Export view from the drop-down menu.

5. Select the format of the exported file and decide whether all default columns should appear in it (Include all properties) or only those displayed in a given view (Include only properties in columns).

If a contact has more than one email address, you can check Export all emails for selected contacts to include all email addresses associated with the contacts in the file.

6. Click the Export button. You will receive an email with a link to download the exported file.

Data import into Livespace CRM

  1. Go to Profile Settings or Account Settings.

  2. From the menu on the left, select Import and export -> Import new file.

3. Depending on what data you are importing, go to the appropriate tab (Persons and companies/Companies only/Deals). Then add the file you want to import.

4. After adding the file, all fields must be mapped correctly. The data from the file must match the fields in the forms in Livespace.

5. You can track the import progress in your Account Settings and you will receive a notification once it's complete.

Good to know

If you import companies first and then want to assign contact persons to them, remember to add a column with the company name to the persons file. The same should be done in the case of deals and their assignment to companies and/or people.

Additionally, to improve the quality of the contact database, it is worth searching for duplicates and combining them after transferring them to Livespace. Step-by-step instructions on how to do this can be found here.
