Products can be added at various stages of a Deal. This is possible not only when creating a new sales opportunity, but also when editing existing ones.

Adding a product to an existing Deal
To add a product to an existing Deal:
1. Open the profile of the Deal to which you want to add a product.
2. If no products were added during the creation of the Deal, the Products window on the right will be empty.
3. To add the first product, choose the option Add products.
4. Search for a product from the list by entering its name in the Enter product name field, then set its price (if the administrator has set default prices, the Price field will be pre-filled).
5. You can add another product in the next field, where it says Add product.
6. If you have enabled product quantity management, you can also specify the number of units of the product at this stage.
7. Finally, click Add to save the new product or products along with their value.
8. The products, including their quantities and values (if entered), will appear in the Products area on the right side of the sales opportunity profile.
Adding a product to a new sales opportunity
You can add products while creating a new sales opportunity. To do this:
Search for a product in the Products section in the open form for adding a new Deal (the process for adding a Deal is discussed in the article Adding a Deal).
A product will be added, to which you can assign a price. If the price was set earlier by the administrator, it will be automatically filled in. At this stage, you can also edit the number of product units (if enabled).
You can add the sales opportunity with a single product by clicking Add or add another product in the next field, where it says Add product.
The sales opportunity will be added along with the products and their values, visible in the Products section on the right side of the Deal profile.
Good to know:
You can block price editing by salespeople. Additionally, you may want to consider enabling margin and discount management. Detailed instructions can be found here.
Editing and deleting products on the sales opportunity profile
To edit products and their parameters or to completely remove a product from a specific Deal profile:
Click Show details in the Products area on the right side of the Deal profile.
Click the arrow to expand the menu.
Select Edit if you want to change the product parameters or Delete if the product should be completely removed from the Deal profile.
Make the necessary changes and finally, click Save to keep the changes.
