How does the board work?

In the dashboard and on the profiles of contacts, deals and spaces, the board is the central element. How to use it during your work?

A board is a list of activities, notes, files, and emails related to a given object. You probably know a similar solution from Facebook, LinkedIn or other social media.

A characteristic feature of a board is that they display the full history of a contact - both manually added and automatically saved. All data posted on the board is displayed in chronological order.

In this article, we described:

Adding notes and files

In notes, you share content related to customers, sales or other users in your company. With the @ sign, you can call other users in a note.

You can add a file to any note you post on your dashboard or to the profile of a contact, deal, or space.

The attachment icon will allow you to upload a file. Remember, you can also add a file by dragging it from anywhere.

You can read more about it here: Adding a note and a file

Filtering the posts on a wall

To make it easier to find the information you are interested in, use the wall post filtering.

Remember that the last filter settings are saved. Such settings are remembered independently for each type of content in Livespace. So when you change them for a Person, they will appear as a default setting for other Persons, but not on the Deal or on Company walls. Each view can have completely different remembered filter settings.

You can search for posts by specific tag.

Moving and coping posts to another wall

Posts on the board are a history of activities related to an object in Livespace: a Person, a Company, a Deal or a Space. Sometimes the post is placed where we do not want it, sometimes it is necessary to copy it to another wall.

To move or copy a post to another location:

1. Expand the pop-up menu next to the entry and click Move/Copy.

2. Livespace will suggest the most likely profiles to which you might want to move or copy your post. For example, if the post is about a person, Livespace will suggest moving it to the board of the company where this specific person works. If there is no suitable object in the suggestions, select Find other.

3. If you decide to move rather than copy the post, select Delete here.

Exporting notes

You can also export notes. Read more about it here: Exporting notes from the profiles.

Important note: you won't export posts from the dashboard. Export works only on the dashboard of the selected profile.
